Achieve Escambia is pleased to welcome D’Andre McIntyre, our new Equity Fellow, from the Southern Education Foundation’s Leadership Initiative.

In spring 2019, D’Andre graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism. While a student at the University of Miami, D’Andre was awarded the Gates Millennium Scholarship and was active in the Student Government Association. When not engaged in academics, he loves to play tennis. He is the oldest of four siblings and a first-generation college graduate!

D’Andre spent last summer as a public policy intern for Impact Strategies and, then, as a legislative intern for Rep. Henry C. “Hank” Johnson (D-Ga).

“I wanted to come to work for Achieve Escambia because I have never had formal or direct training in helping to improve the lives of all students throughout the United States,” said D’Andre. “I care about educational outreach and community. I want to share the gift of equity in every learning institution in the nation.”

We at Achieve Escambia are delighted to welcome this accomplished young man as part of our team! Welcome to Pensacola, D’Andre McIntyre!
